We’re delighted to be hosting the launch of issue #31 of the magazine here in the bookshop. In this spring 2025 edition are scores of outstanding writers, including New Zealand’s most exciting poet, one of Scotland’s finest nature writers, and not just one but two winners of the Arthur C. Clarke Award. All of this alongside an interview with a BAFTA prize winner, new book reviews, and work by writers making their print debuts.

At this launch event you’ll hear from several of those featured in the issue, both poets and prose writers, and you can get your hands on a copy of this stunning magazine.

The event will be hosted by Gutter’s prose reviews editor, Katie Goh, who’ll be joined by contributors Mattea Gernentz, Harry Josephine Giles Ioannis Kalkounos and Rebecca Smith.

This event will take place at Portobello bookshop with an in-person audience, as well as a livestream for attendees watching from home.
