Our headline poet is Colin Bramwell reading with Roshni Gallagher, Sharon Black, Sarah Stewart, and Alison Cohen.

Colin Bramwell is from the Black Isle and lives in Edinburgh. His Fower Pessoas (Carcanet 2025) was a pick for the TLS Best Books of the Year 2025. His first collection Fetch will be published by And Other Stories in September 2026 and is a PBS Autumn Recommendation. 

Roshni Gallagher is a poet from Leeds living in Edinburgh. Her debut poetry collection Even the Trees is published by Bloodaxe books and was the co-winner of the James Berry Poetry Prize 2024. She is the co-winner of the 2022 Edwin Morgan Poetry Award and recipient of a Scottish Book Trust New Writers Award. She has an MFA in creative writing Poetry from the University of St Andrews.

Sharon Black is from Glasgow and lives in a remote valley of the Cévennes mountains in France. She won the Magma Poetry Competition (Judge’s Prize) 2025-26, The Poetry Society’s inaugural Tobias Hill Prize in 2025 as well as 1st prizes in the Kent & Sussex Open Poetry Competition, and the Wells Open Poetry Competition that same year. Her fifth full collection of poetry, ‘Things That Fruit in Darkness’ is published in May 2026 by Vagabond Voices. She is editor of Pindrop Press.  www.sharonblack.co.uk

Sarah Stewart’s poetry has been shortlisted for the Brotherton Prize, the Wigtown Prize and the Keats-Shelley Prize and her first pamphlet, Glisk, won the Callum Macdonald Memorial Award. Devour Everything is her first full collection. She also writes fiction (as Sarah Forbes Stewart) and her first novel, Aren’t We Lucky, was released as an Audible Original in March 2025, narrated by Nicola Coughlan.  

Alison Cohen lives in Glasgow. She was a Clydebuilt 14 poet, mentored by JL Williams.Previously a doctor and a psychotherapist, now that she no longer has caring responsibilities for parents, she is enjoying her allotment, poetry and the freedom to follow her nose. Her poems have been published in journals including New Writing Scotland, Gutter and Magma. She won the Hugh Miller Poetry Competition (2020), Federation of Writers (Scotland) Autumn Equinox Prize (2022) and was commended in the Hippocrates Prize (2024). One of her poems is included in the SPL’s Best Scottish poems 2022.  She is this year’s winner of the William Bonar Poetry prize – pamphlet forthcoming from Red Squirrel Press.
