Join a one-off open mic night hosted by the Q Canvas as part of their Exhibition Third Space at New Glasgow Society.

The Q Canvas is a collective of artists in Glasgow. Their Third Space Exhibition is on show at the New Glasgow Society from 17th to 19th May.

When you aren’t sleeping or grinding away at work, ‘Third Space’ are where we meet, build community, and connect with others. These spaces are as diverse as the communities they serve, from cafes, libraries, and places of worship, to parks, music venues, markets, and more. Beyond the physical, these places allow us to connect through shared stories, rituals and discourse. For some, these spaces provide a rare opportunity for solitude and contemplation, for others, an opportunity to sing, mosh and dance into the night. Community spaces are increasingly in need of safeguarding, especially in urban life. Third Spaces is an exploration of these themes and these spaces, through a wide range of media and artist perspectives.

The Open Mic night will be on Saturday 17th May from 7pm, and completely free to attend, with sign-up for readers on the night.

Any level of experience is welcomed.
