Sirens & The Honeyed Hive
Glasgow Women's Library 23 Landressy Street, Glasgow
Seahorse publications presents a GWL launch of Siren Calling by Linda Jackson and Lesley O’Brien’s debut collection, On the Scent of The Honeyed Hive.
Linda writes songs, prose, poetry and publishes poetry. Her recent work – the Siren Project includes an album of music and a collection of poems. Born in Paisley into a family of singers and raconteurs, she has been performing for over 50 years.
Unable to play in 2020 Linda developed a small indy publishing business and has since published over 45 poetry collections under the Seahorse banner.
Lesley combines her work as poet, singer and storyteller with her folk band Kittlin, 21st century folk, deeply rooted in Scotland’s folklore, landscape and traditional music.
Lesley grew up in Bridgeton, her love of words blossomed with the help of Bridgeton library and a family that loved to share stories and songs. She is excited to share her collection in the warm and welcoming Glasgow Women’s Library.
