Spring into Summer: Wild Writing to Get it All Out
online
Wild Writing is for anyone who is on their journey - to be a better thinker, writer, artist or creator of any sort.
Over 4 Sundays in May and June , the Scottish Poetry Library is offering 8 places at our popular Wild Writing workshops. No experience necessary.
Using poetry on the themes of change, loss, love and life, writers will listen to the wisdom of poets, before responding on the page. Writing is generative - this is not a class to improve technique. Places are limited to 8 per class.
One ticket covers all 4 workshops (Sundays May 17th, 24th, 31st and June 7th). EARLY BIRD OFFER: 15% OFF BEFORE 17th APRIL.
Join us if you want to
- write from the heart in a safe space about how you navigate times past and present
- be yourself, mask-off
- find community
- feel better about your work in the world
About Lorna French
I have had a rich and varied career as a writer, teacher and public sector leader, and now that I am firmly in the second half of life, I am committed to sharing all that I have learned with others. I firmly believe that ‘if we are going to be the rebuilders of society, we need to be rebuilt ourselves’ (Richard Rohr) - and I hold gentle and restorative spaces to achieve this.
As a certified Wild Writing teacher, I lead small groups to find balance and harmony through writing. Wild Writers are creatives or public sector workers or teenagers or any other type of human who is boldly and often messily transforming on their hero’s or heroine’s journey.
I am also the author of 8 contemporary romances which have been translated into over a dozen languages and sold worldwide. I believe the stories we tell ourselves and others today are as important as myths and fairytales were to our ancestors - and I am passionate about helping others tell their stories authentically.
