The next edition of Well Versed welcomes Sarah Howe, who appeared at StAnza 2026 in a Centre Stage event alongside Marie Howe. Her second collection, Foretokens (Chatto & Windus, 2025), was selected as a Poetry Book Society Choice and shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize 2025. Her debut Loop of Jade won the same prize a decade ago.

Well Versed is StAnza's online programme of poetry conversations with headline festival poets and emerging voices, hosted in partnership with Open Book. Each session features a reading and discussion before a Q&A with the live online audience. For those unable to take part live, recordings are uploaded to our YouTube channel and available to watch for the rest of the year.
