The Poetry at Sweeneys open mic continues to run in the southside, though now on the first wednesday of every month. Now hosted by Sarah Heitler but with the same format as always. An extremely welcoming open mic meant to be a safe and comfortable place for beginners to try their hand at spoken word (both poetry and prose) - but everyone is always welcome!

- Slots are 5 minutes long

- Beginners and first timers are warmly encouraged

- Prose pieces are also welcome provided they don't go over 5 minutes.

We're doing our absolute best to keep this event free, warm, easygoing, and unticketed. Just show up, enjoy a drink at Sweeneys and enjoy some poetry!

Also, we now have a form for advance signups if anyone wants to let us know beforehand that they're coming, I still take signups on the door though!
