Writing Poetry for Children with Kate Wakeling
online
Want to try your hand at writing poetry for the youngest among us? Join us for this new workshop with acclaimed children’s poet Kate Wakeling to discover new approaches to writing funny, gentle, thoughtful, magical poems. Explore how you might play with form, voice and musicality, find imaginative new ways to write about the natural world, come up with your own playful manifesto and more. You’ll come away with a better understanding of what makes a great children’s poem, and some new routes into creating your own. Attended Kate’s workshop last year? Feel free to return for this session, which will be chock-full of brand-new material and prompts.
