Planted Journal: Reverance
Planted is a non-profit publication dedicated to bridging the gap between human and nature for personal and planetary well-being. We share stories and feature artists at the intersection of humanity and the natural world.
We’re a translocal organization, with a small team of diverse ethnicities based primarily throughout Europe.
We invite contributors to explore the theme of Reverence.
There are signs of dissociation between the human body and the body of the Earth: colonisation, waste culture, war, abuse, and injustice, to name just a few. These acts have eroded our respect for humanity.
To revere the Earth and be in awe of the natural world also calls us to revere humanity as part of the tree of life. As the world becomes increasingly polarised, reverence could be the thread that weaves us back together in the web of life.
We are seeking stories that celebrate nature and humanity as one, sharing reverence for both the internal and external worlds.
You can submit up to 10 poems via email.
