CWYR Zine
CWYR Zine is an independent print zine showcasing the work of LGBTQIA+ creatives.
Open Call for Issue 3
What does it mean to be the polar opposite of someone? Do you find distance in difference or is it celebratory? How have you been impacted by the carceral system? What does political polarisation mean to you? Is pole dancing part of your performance? How does queerness inform or interact with your experience of manual labour?
We’re inviting LGBTQ+ creatives from any background or discipline to submit to the third issue of CWYR Zine. In this issue, we’re asking for proposals that examine the topics of difference, distance, binaries, political polarisation, incarceration/the carceral system, pole dancing and building.
We welcome any submission that can be reproduced in print from the written word to visual art, including but not limited to poetry, essay, script, prose, photography, illustration, painting, sculpture and moving image. We accept written submissions of up to 2,000 words and visual pieces should be accompanied by a short description of the work.
All submissions should be sent to cwyrzine@gmail.com, along with a bio of up to 100 words. The selected submissions will be published in our print publication and contributors will receive a copy of the zine.
