‘I Wish I Was in Glasgow’ is a call to celebrate the city we love! In the wake of the Union Street fire, and as the Commonwealth Games bring thousands of visitors to Glasgow in July, we’re inviting contributors to reflect on what makes our city so distinct, beloved and alive.

We are seeking work that expresses affection for Glasgow’s heritage, architecture, communities and everyday life. We welcome responses that consider cultural and collective memory, sense of place, belonging, and the living environment.

We welcome all contributions, including, but not limited to:

Painting/drawing/printing
Sculpture
Film
Poetry/prose
Audio

The exhibition will be held at New Glasgow Society from July 26th – August 5th
