Call for Submissions: Trans & Disabled Grief and Rage Anthology
Soft Publishing is seeking submissions for our third anthology. Our first two anthologies have centered rest and then love. Now, we go deeper into the bodyminds of those sick and tired of being told that Trans and Disabled people simply don't exist. WE ARE HERE. WE EXIST. WE ARE PROOF.
We’re looking for art and writing that explores the emotions of GRIEF and RAGE as it relates to being Disabled/Neurodivergent and Trans*.
There is so much grief and rage in the Trans* and Disabled experience. We are misunderstood, dismissed, and unloved by the very people who are supposed to hold us. Doctors, governments, specialists, friends, and family disappoint us.
We invite you to rage at the systems, grieve our loses, and tell us how you go on to fight another day.
Questions to consider:
- What do you do when the world seems against you?
- Who holds you up when everything's got you down?
- How do you express grief and rage? Are you allowed to express it?
Send us your poems, essays, short stories, comics, photography, visual art, or hybrid work that speaks to what GRIEF and RAGE means to you as a Trans* and Disabled creative.
Please look at our other anthologies and publishings to get an idea of what we are looking for at https://softboysclub.shop/collections/soft-publishing
