Hot Butter Press is a quarterly riso zine based in Edinburgh.

We accept:
Visual art (photography, print, drawing, painting, mixed-media, collage)
poetry & short form (please note the 350 word count limit per entry)
And anything else you might like to contribute - a joke, a DIY how to, a list, a recipe anything that lets your creative spark, spark.🔥

We are a riso zine and printed in monochrome (so please keep this in mind if you are submitting multicolour art).

Butter is our name, but it’s not our entire game. Your work does not need to be butter related.
Whilst there is no prescriptive theme, we offer a suggested prompt. For Issue Two the prompt is: Bric-à-brac

Submitting your work is free. As a self-published zine, we are unfortunately not able to offer any payment to our contributors. While we would love to accept every piece of work that comes our way, unfortunately we are not able to. We will be in contact if your work has been selected. Otherwise, please submit again in the future!
