Queer Glasgow is ongoing and expanding project born from the desire to distribute and preserve queer narratives according to a view of queerness that is intersectional and non-institutional.
The main portion of Queer Glasgow consists of the archive, which is image based, digital and embedded in community and is dedicated to highlighting individual queer histories through memories of the everyday. Queer Glasgow is built on the belief that each individual is fundamental for the construction of queer shared histories and, therefore, its archive acts as a respository for our community and our collective memories. The project takes the form of a zine as well, with its first issue being released in August 2025, as a committment to increase accessibility to the project and reach out to as many members of our community as possible. Queer Glasgow Zine also offers an opportunity to give life to the archive and expand it beyond its digital space, giving each person their own small and personal archive.
