The Hyperbolic Review
The Hyperbolic Review is an American online magazine of mathematical poetry. We seek to redefine traditional notions of literature and STEM, presenting them as complementary rather than contrasting.
The team publishes three issues a year with reading windows from 1 November to 1 January, from 1 March to 1 June, and again from 1 July to 1 October.
The Hyperbolic Review is now accepting work for Issue 02!
Send us your math poems by June 1, 2025.
Whether you’re a mathematician who loves writing, a writer exploring the beauty of math, or somewhere in between, we’d love to read your work.
We are looking for Math poetry.
We define it as poetry that relates to mathematics in form or content. This includes poems with meaningful syllable counts per line (e.g., Fibonacci sequence or digits of pi), poems that follow structured forms (e.g., creating geometric patterns), and poems that explore math concepts in their content. For more examples, check out our first issue.
