Coin-Operated Press CIC is an artist-led social enterprise run by Chloe Henderson. We are based in Scotland, where we facilitate creative workshops, host zine fairs, manage the DJCAD Zine Library, create educational zine content, and produce, publish, and distribute collaborative zines every month.

The theme of the April Call-Out is: Wildlife

To celebrate Earth Day this year, we have chosen to highlight the wondrous world of wildlife in April's zine-theme. Coin-Operated Press is based in Scotland, where the wildlife is stunning but somewhat lacking in biodiversity... so, we are super excited to see all of the stunning wildlife submitted to this international open call! We want to see both the beauty of the natural world, and your honest accounts of the toll human encroachment is having on the wild spaces in your areas. 

We want to see your wildlife photography, your poetical ode to the frogs in your local pond, a snippet from your nature journal, a collage of all the lichen you spotted on a nature walk, your song-bird watercolour, an essay about all the work your local wildlife charity is doing, your recipes for feeding the ducks, your botanical illustration, a spotter's guide to the bats in your local woodlands, your urban fox lino-print, your tips for foraging, and so much more!! If it's wildlife and will fit on the pages of a zine, we want to see it!!
