PERVERSE publishes poems by weekly digital newsletter which are “deliberate, obstinate, unreasonable or unacceptable, contrary to the expected practice”. 

PERVERSE is now open for submissions until the end of July.

GUIDELINES:

Send up to 3 unpublished poems.  

Submissions are open until midnight BST on 31st July 2025. 

Submissions will be read in August, and you'll be replied to by email by the end of September. (This issue will be released this autumn.)

Visual poems are welcome. Translations are welcome, as long as you have the translated poet's permission (or their work is out of copyright). No AI please (I see there's a new magazine dedicated to poetry made using AI processes here: https://ailiteraryreview.co.uk/). 

Regretfully, there is no payment available. Rejections are unlikely to be personalised due to constraints of time, apologies. Forget it, Jake, it's Poetrytown.
