What happens to myths and the sublime upon the application of technology? Is He in
the (chat) room with us now?
We’re exploring scientific knowledge as artistic creation – papyrus and vellum,
cyanotype and film darkrooms.
Submit your writing on themes around;
Community, technology, myth and folklore, the sublime, the macabre. Think;
Scientists-as-mad, how spirituality brings us together (into covens and churches
alike), how technology brings us together (in chat rooms, stan twitter and comment
sections) – or how algorithms and language can isolate us.
We encourage writing that examines and explores the act of science as creation, the
evolution of technology over the course of history and modernity, scientific
knowledge, belief systems and adventures of the spirit in the technological realms.
“You think the realm of the mystical is limited to ancient texts and relics? That bad
old science made the magic go away? The divine exists in cyberspace same as out
here” – Buffy the Vampire Slayer
