StoryTree Slam Sign Up
The StoryTree Poetry Slam is back for another round! The slam will take place on Wednesday 17 June at The Bungalow in Paisley - doors 6:30pm, 7pm start.
The slam will feature 10 poets performing poems 3 minutes (or under) in length. The winning poet will also have an opportunity to perform a final poem at the end of the night (time dependent). If more than 10 poets sign up for the slam, names will be chosen at random*.
The winner will receive:
- The night's entire donations pot
- One of their slam poems featured in the next issue of StoryTree's quarterly magazine - the featured poem will be chosen by the judges!
- A framed artwork by StoryTree artist, Elaine O'Neill
Round 1: All 10 poets will perform.
Round 2: All 10 poets will perform.
Round 3: The top-scoring 3 poets will perform.
Sign-ups close: Sunday 31 May 23:59 (GMT).
Line-up announced: Monday 1 June.
StoryTree is a safe space for people of all races, nationalities, immigration-status, genders, sexualities, and abilities. As such, we do not platform work that endorses bigoted views.
Access info: The Bungalow is partially wheelchair accessible. The front entrance has stepped access with a banister; wheelchair users can enter the building via the stage door. There is unfortunately no disabled/wheelchair accessible bathroom. However, the bathrooms each have one larger stall with supports. A stool will be available for performers who need to sit for their performances. The Bungalow is a nut-free venue.

*Competitors from our previous slam are welcome to sign up, however, priority will be given to those who haven't competed with us before. If more than 10 poets sign up the names of previous competitors will be removed from the random selection.
